Please contact Sandi Hammond if you have any questions or are thinking of joining

Our Music Director  Niles Brandon

NilesBrandon-smallerWe are fortunate to have Niles Brandon as our Director of Music. Niles’s mastery of the piano earned him recognition while still very young. He won the Duquesne young artist national piano competition and he was second in the international competition. Currently Niles is a student at the Berklee College of Music studying piano performance and electronic music production.

Niles has a wonderful, joyous approach to music that is infectious. He leads a choir of regulars, irregulars, and visitors. The only requirement is wanting to sing and showing up to rehearse at 8:30 AM Sunday morning. Beginners to professionals, students to grandparents, long term members of the church to folks who are passing through sing a wide variety of music to support the worship theme of any given Sunday.
On occasion Niles will invite a fellow student, or students, from Berklee or a local musician to join him in providing music for the service.

We are equally fortunate to have Lynne Wilkinson as our Director of Music Emerita. Although “retired” as our Music Director, Lynne continues to offer a music meditation group for all in the community who wish to participate. In addition, Lynne has formed a Hospice Choir which provides music at various local hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and bedside. She also directs Persephone’s Daughters, a women’s a cappella choir that Lynne founded in 2000. Both of these organizations rehearse at First Parish and Persephone’s Daughters offers two concerts a year at First Parish: go to for more information about Persephone’s Daughters.
