First Parish Plymouth staff, church leaders and members, with their relentless energy and determination, are  vital forces in carrying out our mission to make the world kinder and more equitable.

Reverend Rumni Saha, Minister
revrumni@gmail.com

As a minister, I believe my call is to pastor as well as challenge. Pastoral care begins with offering a calming, compassionate presence that honors the stories that people carry.
At the same time, our faith calls us into transformation, both personally and collectively. That requires challenge — prophetic truth-telling that stretches us beyond comfort and calls us toward justice and deeper spiritual maturity. Social justice, to me, is not separate from spiritual life. It is an embodied spiritual practice rooted in the belief that every person deserves to be seen, valued, and treated with dignity. Reverend Rumni has a Master’s in Education and a Master’s in Divinity from Boston University.
Prior to attending seminary at Boston University School of Theology, she was a Special Educator in the MA Public Schools for 21 years. Following Seminary, she worked as the Hindu and Unitarian Universalist Chaplain at Wellesley College, an interfaith Chaplain at Dana Farber Cancer Institute and an Interfaith Chaplain with AAIC, a small but mighty non-profit whose main mission was food chaplaincy.
